Check QC helps Canadians who buy from Taobao, Weidian or 1688 through a shopping agent review their quality-check photos properly before paying for international shipping — the one moment when an exchange or a return is still cheap and easy.
Who runs Check QC?
The site is published by Chen Hong Jie. Contact details are available on the legal notice page. Every checklist and guide is written, then reviewed before it goes live; pages are signed “Chen Hong Jie” and show the date of their last review.
About the author
I am a Chinese professional with ten years of experience in international trade. Over the years, I have developed a careful and practical approach to product inspection, paying close attention to materials, workmanship, measurements and visible defects. I take product quality seriously and use my experience to help buyers review QC photos, identify potential problems and make more informed decisions before shipping.
What you’ll find here
- QC checklists by product type, each with an indicative GL or RL verdict.
- A message generator in English and Chinese to ask for photos, measurements, exchanges or returns.
- A glossary of the terms you’ll see on agent sites and in online communities.
- Guides on reading QC photos and handling exchanges, in English and in French.
What the site doesn’t do
- We don’t sell products, take orders or process payments.
- We don’t inspect your items: we help you read the photos your agent sends you.
- We don’t judge whether a branded product is authentic. Our checks cover workmanship, size and defects only.
How our content is researched and updated
The checklists group the defects that show up most often in warehouse photos and sort them by severity (critical, important, minor). They draw on agents’ public help pages, the QC photos we review and feedback from readers. The verdict is there to help — the final call is always yours.
Every guide shows its last-updated date. We review pages at least once a quarter and whenever an agent changes its photo or exchange service. When a rule depends on the agent (free photos, return windows), we point you to the agent’s own price list rather than quote a number.
Independence and referral links
Check QC isn’t owned by any agent or store and is free to use. Some links to agents, here or on the partner site we send you to, may contain a referral code: if you sign up through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. It never changes our checklists or verdicts.
Bilingual by design
The site is available in English and in Canadian French (version française).
