👕 QC checklist for T-shirts and hoodies
Last updated: 2026-10-23
Quick answer
For a T-shirt or hoodie, check in this order: the right size (label), flat measurements that match the seller’s chart (±2 cm is normal), no stains or holes, straight stitching, and a centred, sharp print or embroidery. If the size is wrong or there’s a stain, ask for an exchange.
- 1
Right item and variant Critical
Compare the model, colour and variant with the listing and with what you ordered.
- 2
Size label matches your order Critical
Find the label in the photos. If you can’t see it, ask for a photo of the label.
- 3
No stains, holes or tears Critical
Zoom in on every photo. Small stains show up best on light-coloured areas.
- 4
Measurements within ±2 cm of the chart Important
If the agent shoots the item with a tape measure, compare chest and length with the seller’s chart.
- 5
Straight seams, no loose threads Important
Check the collar, cuffs and hem. Loose threads can be trimmed; open seams can’t.
- 6
Print or embroidery centred and sharp Important
Compare its position with the store photos.
- 7
Colour as expected Important
Warehouse lighting shifts tones a bit. If you’re unsure, ask for a daylight photo.
- 8
Fabric weight as expected Minor
Hard to judge in photos; a close-up of the fabric helps.
Mark every point to see the verdict.
Frequently asked questions
+How much of a measurement difference is acceptable?
For knits and hoodies, up to 2 cm off the chart is common. More than 3–4 cm across the chest is usually noticeable when you wear it.
+How do I ask the agent to measure the garment?
Use the “Ask for measurements” template in the Check QC message generator: it gives you the request in English and Chinese to paste into your agent.
